A new footbridge has been officially opened in Hertfordshire.
Osborne's Hertfordshire Framework Team has carried out refurbishment and maintenance works to the Glaxo Footbridge in Ware.
The previous timber structure had reached the end of its service life. It was removed with a 500-tonne crane and the new steel beam/timber deck bridge has now been installed. The new bridge is suitable for use for around 30 more years without major maintenance.
Osborne said the scheme was planned in partnership with the Canals and Rivers Trust to ensure the environment was protected throughout the scheme.
