Work has started on the next phase of a conservation project at Westminster Hall in London.
The 900-year-old building is undergoing a major revamp and work is underway to erect scaffolding inside and outside the Hall.
Conservation and refurbishment works will include an enhanced lighting scheme, internal conservation of the hammer-beam roof, fire safety improvement works and both internal and external repair to the lead-covered lantern at the southern end of the Hall.
The scheme is expected to be completed at the start of 2019.
