Royal BAM Group has revealed it will appoint Paul Sheffield to the company's supervisory board later this year.
Mr Sheffield is set to be nominated for a position on the board at an extraordinary general meeting on 24 August 2017.
The Group said the nomination is being made due to a vacancy arising from the previously announced retirement of chairman Peter Elverding.
With over 30 years of industry experience, Mr Sheffield has previously worked for Laing O'Rourke and Kier as a Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer respectively.
Since 2015, he has also been a non-executive director of Southern Water Services, which offers water supply and wastewater services for Kent, Sussex, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
