Carillion has been selected to deliver a £75 million student accommodation project for the University of Manchester.

The contractor will build phase one of the new Fallowfield Student Residences project. Construction is scheduled to begin in August.

Features include developing 1,122 Cluster-Flat Study Bedrooms arranged in eight accommodation blocks together with an energy centre, student amenity hub and associated landscaping provision.

The Cluster Blocks consist of four-storey residential units in various configurations, typically comprising ten bedrooms and a kitchen area on each floor.

Carillion will develop final design and construction proposals, ahead of contract signature and the start of construction. Completion is scheduled for summer 2019.
