A major milestone has been reached on a £1.7 million residential scheme in Devon.
Morgan Sindall is currently building two apartment blocks, along with a 26-space car parking area, and a bike/bin store, for a local investor in Exeter.
The project involves developing Block A, a three-storey building which comprises seven apartments, and Block B, a two-storey building which comprises four apartments.
Work has now been completed to install the second floor to Block A and works are progressing to roof level. Block B is currently at roof level and work is continuing to make it weather tight.
Nigel Whelan, area manager at Morgan Sindall, said: "We're delighted to be delivering this important scheme which will provide residents in Exeter with a contemporary and comfortable living environment.
"The project is being delivered on a site which is surrounded by existing residential buildings, including a care home. Our project team is highly experienced in working in environments of this nature and meticulous planning has been undertaken to ensure the work is delivered safely and on schedule."
Simon Steele-Perkins, representing the client, said: "We are delighted with the progress on site so far, which is on time and on budget."
The development is scheduled to be completed in summer 2017.
