A Carillion Joint Venture (JV) has secured a new contract worth over £200 million from the Ministry of Defence (MoD).

The JV will carry out the HESTIA South East and London Region Multi Activity Contract, which will involves facilities management services, including catering, retail and leisure, and hotel and mess services, for 87 key Defence sites across Kent, Sussex, Surrey, Berkshire and Central and Greater London.

The deal cements Carillion's relationship with the MoD. Its existing Next Generation Estates contracts with the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) already provides housing maintenance, design, construction and facilities management services across the UK.

Overall, the new five-year contract will employ more than 1,800 people and is set to go live at the beginning of September 2017.
