Work is to begin on a new £22 million hospital in Birmingham.
The new Circle Health Hospital will be built by Simons Construction and completion is scheduled by the end of 2018, with the aim to start treating patients from early 2019.
The facility will form part of the Edgbaston Medical Quarter and will deliver large scale rehabilitation services. It will include six operating theatres, 18 inpatient bedrooms and several large recovery suites, along with consulting and imaging departments.
Roger Pulham, Director for Health at Gleeds, who are acting as project and cost manager, said: "The leading edge project incorporates innovative design and planning that responds to the demands of today's healthcare sector, allowing Circle Health to facilitate the best possible provision for the years to come."
