Stroma Appoints New MD Of Building Control

Stroma has appointed Dave Allen as its new Managing Director (MD) of Building Control.

With 32 years of industry experience, Mr Allen was previously MD with Butler and Young Approved Inspectors.

In addition, he has a wealth of expertise within Local Authority Building Control and spent 18 years in private approved inspector building control firms.

The appointment comes as Stroma has completed three major acquisitions within the building control sector over the past 18 months. Beginning with Greendoor Building Control in 2015 and followed by Approved Design Consultancy and BBS Building Control last year, Stroma now owns three independent CIC Approved Inspectors.

Mr Allen's appointment is a key part of the company's strategy to improve the existing provision for customers and maintain the supply of first class building control services to customers across the UK. In his new role, he will spearhead Stroma's strategic growth and expansion within the marketplace.

Speaking on his new role, Mr Allen said: "I'm very proud to be a part of such a highly motivated team. We are dedicated to delivering the best possible building control service across all sectors of the construction industry."
