Seddon Construction has announced Peter Jackson is to become the company's new Managing Director (MD).

Mr Jackson, who is currently Chief Operating Officer, will take up his new position on Monday, 03 April.

As part of the move, current MD Jonathan Seddon will become Chairman of Seddon Construction and Chief Executive Officer of the Group.

Previously Mr Jackson joined the company as Quantity Surveyor in 29914, before re-joining as Operations Director in 2005, before moving up to Chief Operating Officer in 2014.

Speaking on his new role, he said: "I am absolutely delighted to be appointed as Managing Director.

"The key for us all at Seddon is to build upon the hard work in recent years, ensuring exceptional customer service, delivering projects on time and making budgets work for all our customers. We have a very bright future ahead of us."

Mr Seddon said: "Over the last three years as Chief Operating Officer, Peter has been instrumental in guiding Seddon through many changes and challenges, establishing our regional teams and outlining a powerful vision for the business.

"I am therefore delighted to announce Peter's appointment to Managing Director. It is vital that we have the very best people leading our organization at every level, and as a key part of the Seddon strategy, I'm certain Peter will help us achieve every ambition we have as a business."
