Plans have been approved for a new housing development near Guildford in Surrey.
Outline planning permission has been secured by A2Dominion to build 265 new homes at Knowle Park in Cranleigh.
The proposals, approved by Waverley Borough Council, include 35% 'affordable' housing and 70% public open space.
The 8.31-hectare site between Knowle Lane and Alfold Road is set to include a range of one, two, three, four and five-bed homes. Features include new car parking spaces, while A2Dominion will contribute significant funding to benefit the local area and amenities as part of a Section 106 agreement for the scheme.
This includes investment towards the Wey and Arun Canal Bridge Safety Improvement scheme and funding for Crainleigh Leisure Centre, Cranleigh Art Centre, and towards early years, primary and secondary education.
Samuel Macdonald, A2Dominion's Strategic Land Manager said: "We are pleased to have been granted outline planning consent for this significant project.
"The scheme will bring high-quality sustainable homes including a high proportion of affordable housing to Cranleigh. It also provides the neighbourhood with a large public country park.
"We have worked collaboratively with the Borough Council to ensure that this development will meet the needs of the area."
Subject to relevant approvals, work on site is expected to start in 2018 or 2019.
