Galliford Try Wins £25m Contract

Galliford Try has won a £25 million contract to build a new residential scheme in London.

The company will build the Hambrook House project for regeneration specialist Muse in Lambeth.

Features include creating a mixed-use building providing 94 residential units, with associated bike and refuse stores and a ground floor commercial unit. The building height ranges from six to 14 storeys and communal amenity spaces are provided at both ground and roof levels.

Notting Hill Housing will also manage 48 new 'affordable' homes created by the development.

The Hambrook House project is part of a wider development of the local authorities estate by Muse, which includes refurbishing and remodelling the Town Hall and creating new Council offices.

Completion is scheduled for September 2018.

Matthew Pool, Galliford Try London and South East Commercial Managing Director, said: "We are delighted to be working once again with Muse on this fantastic regeneration project in the heart of Lambeth. Our business has a strong track record in mixed-use development across London and we look forward to working with Muse to create high-quality homes for the local community."

Cllr Matthew Bennett said: "I am delighted that work has started on these desperately needed new homes. We are determined to do all we can to deliver the housing this borough needs which is why this scheme features 94 units, 48 of which will be affordable."
