Planning permission has been approved to construct a mixed-use development in Wealdstone, Harrow.
The Origin Housing development is to be built on the Palmerstown Road.
The proposed development incorporates 186 homes and commercial and community floor space.
Designed by Moss Architects, the application includes five buildings, ranging from one to 17 storeys and public realm provision.
Gareth Jones, Development Director for Origin Housing, said: "We welcome this decision by The Mayor of London to support our high quality housing proposal, which represents a substantial investment in Wealdstone and a significant contribution to London's housing stock. The proposed scheme will have a major impact on the regeneration of the Wealdstone area and offers 41% affordable housing, new amenity space, commercial space targeted at newly formed enterprises, space for start-up businesses and also promotes connectivity to Harrow and Wealdstone Station. Origin looks forward to working closely with London Borough of Harrow and the Greater London Authority to deliver this scheme, and to help meet housing need in the local area."
