SES Engineering Services has been selected to help deliver a new student accommodation scheme in Manchester.
The engineering specialist will provide Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) services on the Vita Student 716-apartment scheme at Circle Square on Oxford Road. The project is being delivered for Select Property Group.
The £750 million mixed-use Circle Square scheme will see office, retail, serviced apartments and private residential accommodation built on the former BBC headquarters site at the heart of Corridor Manchester. Completion is scheduled for 2025.
Robert Doherty, SES Regional Director for the North West, said: "Circle Square is already a famous development site in Manchester due to its unique offer and superb location.
"The timeframe and logistical challenges on this stand-out development require skill, efficiency and flair so it's an honour to have been singled out.
"Our team has a fantastic track record in the North West and we are extremely proud to be part of this major project to deliver brand new outstanding accommodation facilities fit to inspire the city's future generations of students."
Elsewhere, SES is working with Select Property Group on the Vita Student Village in York to deliver 517 apartments on the first purpose-built private campus in the UK. In addition, it has completed the Vita Student, Westgate residence, to deliver 264 apartments in the centre of Newcastle.
Previous education sector projects also include student accommodation at Salford University, the Saw Swee Hock Student Centre for the London School of Economics and the Laidlaw Library at the University of Leeds.
