SES Engineering Services has won a contract to provide mechanical and electrical (M&E) services on a new student accommodation scheme in Coventry.

The £9.2 million deal involves designing and delivering full M&E services for five residential towers on the Godiva Place development, including lift safety, security, heating, ventilation, drainage and energy efficient lighting and control. Work is due to begin on site next month.

The overall £47.5m project is being delivered by Galliford Try for end client Regents (Godiva) Ltd.

Features include transforming a brownfield site into a landscaped area with 76 cluster flats and 99 studio apartments, providing enough space for over 750 students attending Coventry University.

SES will use its dedicated offsite manufacturing facility, Prism, as a key part of the project delivery, with a proposed saving of 14,000 working man hours on site.
