Gleeds has appointed Mark Syrett as Director of its infrastructure team in London.
With over 25 years' experience in the construction industry, Mr Syrett formerly worked as a Commercial Executive Director and a Programme Director with Transport for London.
Gleeds said he will be "instrumental" in the management of its expanding rail team, which has seen a 25% increase in turnover over the last 12 months following a string of new wins.
In addition, Mr Syrett will be joined by Richard Golding as Associate Director responsible for the delivery of audit and assurance services on behalf of the Office of Rail and Road, HS2 and the Department for Transport.
Mr Syrett said: "Richard and I join Gleeds at a really exciting time for the infrastructure division. Having been selected for a host of high profile schemes, like Network Rail and HS2, we are both looking forward to an opportunity to getting stuck in to some challenging but equally rewarding schemes."
Richard Steer, Chairman of Gleeds Worldwide, added: "The UK government has announced its plans to invest between 1% and 1.2% of GDP in infrastructure, and we believe that both Mark and Richard will be instrumental in helping us to capitalise on the opportunity this presents."
