Wates has won a £19.2 million contract to build a new senior living facility in Hertfordshire.
The contractor will deliver 95 care home units on behalf of Signature Senior Lifestyle in Bushy.
Designed by PRP Architects, the new Bushy development comprises of 38 studio apartments, 40 one-bedroom apartments, 12 specialist dementia studios, five deluxe one-bedroom apartments and adjoining communal amenities.
Work at the site is now underway and the project is to be handed over in summer 2018.
The project is the second senior living development Wates will deliver on Signature's behalf in Hertfordshire following the contractor's completion of the Bentley House scheme in Hertford in 2015.
Current projects also include Signature's £15.8m Sunninghill 96-bedroom development in Berkshire and the £18.1m four-storey 92-bedroom care home in Camberley, both of which are due for completion this year.
Ian Vickers, Managing Director of Wates Construction Home Counties, said: "There is a great deal of understanding and expertise that must be applied to projects within the senior living sector due to the varied needs of residents.
"Our growing relationship with Signature Senior Lifestyle is recognition of Wates' ability to put these needs at the heart of a project, doing so while giving our client the high standards of quality upon which their, and our, reputation is built."
