French industrial equipment supplier Loxam has made a fresh bid to take over British rival Lavendon.
The company has offered £459 million for the Leicester-based Group, with an offer of 270p per share.
The French supplier raised its previous offer after its competitor, Belgian firm TVH, offered 261p per share.
In response, TVH said it is considering its options and urged Lavendon shareholders to take no action.
