Carillion has started work on a £154 million build-to-rent project in Manchester.

The Angel Gardens scheme involves developing a 36-storey tower featuring 466 apartments in the city's North Manchester (NOMA) district.

The project, being delivered on behalf of Moda Living's joint venture with Apache Capital Partners, also includes 22,000 sq ft of commercial space, amenities including a gym, cinema, resident lounges, co-working facilities, restaurants, shops and a multi-use roof terrace focussing on health and wellbeing.

John Currie, North West operations director at Carillion, said: "We are pleased to be working with Moda Living to carry out this prestigious development.
