Wates Living Space has revealed plans to expand its business in the North East.
As part of growth plans to double the Group's turnover to £2 billion, the business will expand its portfolio of planned and responsive maintenance services it delivers for local authorities and registered social landlords across Northumberland, County Durham, Tees Valley and Tyne and Wear
The company recently held the first in a series of 'Meet the Buyer' events in Stockton-On-Tees, which provided subcontractors with the chance to become one of the business' preferred suppliers for work being delivered in the region.
David Morgan, Managing Director of Wates Living Space, said: "The North East presents a vast opportunity for the housing maintenance sector and our plans to enhance the business' presence in the region will allow us to create much-needed employment opportunities for businesses and local people in the region.
"Our team is highly proficient in carrying out maintenance works for the public sector and is well equipped to achieve value for money for our clients.
"These specialisms position us well to service the growing repairs pipeline that is emerging in the North East, which is complemented by the regional growth spell experienced this year."
