Plans have been approved to build a new Centre for Creative Learning at an independent girls' school in London.
Designed by architects BDP, the scheme at Francis Holland School involves building a single-storey facility featuring a rooftop garden with informal learning space below.
In addition, a three-storey extension will be built onto the existing school featuring a performing arts space and an ICT lab. The school's current library will also be refurbished.
Work is to start on site this summer, with completion scheduled for the following academic year.
Project architect, Deborah Dix, said: "It has been great working with such a vibrant and progressive school to deliver the highest standards of teaching and learning for all ages.
"The development of Francis Holland School provides an example of how intelligent design can be used to maximise efficient and effective space."
