Wates has appointed a new Development Director to oversee its Residential operations in London and South region.

Kate Ives will take up her new role this month and will be responsible for growing the company's portfolio of partnership housing and joint ventures.

Previously, she worked as a Business Director for First Base and helped deliver major regeneration schemes in and around London, including mixed-use developments in Brighton and the London boroughs of Southwark and Merton.

Paul Nicholls, Regional Managing Director of Wates Residential, said: "Kate is joining the business at a very exciting time as we grow our blended portfolio of development and contracting projects.
