BAM Construction has been selected to deliver a new £11.1 million sixth form college building in Leeds.

The contractor will develop the new facility for Elliott Hudson College in Beeston.

Designed by Bond Ryan Architects, features include refurbishing a former data centre located on the White Rose Office Park, stripping the building back to its shell, adding new perimeter glazing and overlaying the existing roof. In addition, BAM will carry out some external works.

Once completed, the building will bring staff and students together in one building, offering over 30 different A-level courses and providing 1,000 places.

BAM Design will provide both structural and building services engineering, while the technical advisor is Jacobs.

BAM's Bid Manager, John Scahill, said: "We're delighted to be delivering this exciting scheme and continuing our excellent relationship with the Trust. This unique facility will bring the college together under one roof and deliver a dynamic learning environment."
