A joint venture (JV) between Nottinghamshire County Council and Scape Group has appointed Daniel Maher as the consortium's new Managing Director.
Mr Maher will oversee the Arc Partnership's £200 million delivery programme of built environment projects and services for Nottinghamshire County Council.
With more than 30 years' of industry experience, Mr Maher joins from Kier Group where he worked in a number of roles over the last 14 years, including head of human resources for Kier's building maintenance division and national business development director.
He also spent 20 years as Sheffield City Council, including four years as head of human resources for the council's direct services organisations.
Mark Robinson, Scape Group chief executive, said: "As a veteran of public-private partnership, Daniel's strategic leadership will help to propel Arc's growth and drive future innovation. He is uniquely placed to interpret the needs of the public sector and the solutions the market can help to provide."
Speaking on his new role, Mr Maher added: "Our first priority is to deliver Nottinghamshire County Council's ambitious £200m capital investment programme, which is of vital importance to the local community. We will also set out our plan for sustainable growth and explore how we can utilise Arc's expertise to deliver collaboration and efficiencies on projects for the wider public sector.
"I'm looking forward to working with the fantastic team at Arc, Nottinghamshire County Council and Scape Group to deliver a high level of service to the people of Nottinghamshire and across the wider Midlands region."
