Work to build a new £1.7 million police custody suite in Barnsley is now complete.
SES Engineering Services worked in partnership with Willmott Dixon and South Yorkshire Police to build the 20-cell suite on Churchfield.
The contractor was responsible for the design, supply and installation of a range of M&E services, including ventilation, air conditioning, heating and lighting.
The completion comes just months after SES' successful delivery of a £2.7m M&E contract on South Yorkshire Police's flagship custody facility in Sheffield. Both schemes, completed alongside Willmott Dixon, were completed on time and on budget.
Steve Joyce, SES Regional Director, Yorkshire, said: "With precision and public money efficiency required on this technically complex and high-security project, we're proud to have delivered an engineering services solution to keep its 20 cells in use, 24 hours a day, seven days a week."
