Work has begun on a £2 million road maintenance scheme on the A64 in North Yorkshire.
Contractors are underway with resurfacing over two miles of the route between Rillington and East Knapton near Malton.
Features include replacing 800 reflective road studs, including repainting road markings and clearing gullies.
For safety reasons, the A64 will be closed in both directions between Rillington and Knapton for three weekends from 8pm – 6am until Monday, 12 December. Diversions will be in place.
Highways England project manager Adeeb Saeed said: "This project will provide drivers with safer and smoother journeys along this stretch of the A64. Every effort is being made to ensure disruption to traffic and residents is kept to a minimum."
