IBI Group has appointed Andrew Fursdon as its new lead to design science and academic research buildings in the Higher Education sector.
Having worked for international US, Japanese and European firms, Mr Fursdon will work as part of the Group's UK Learning+ team.
He has extensive industry experience, including a portfolio of specialist science-related facilities delivered whilst working as a Design Director for a multi-disciplinary design and construction management company.
IBI has designed numerous buildings for leading universities and research organisations such as Imperial College London, Cardiff University, University of Oxford, University of Liverpool, and the Research Councils UK.
Speaking on his new role, Andrew Fursdon said: "IBI believes in producing high quality design for the benefit of the end-user, whether that be improved learning, enhanced wellbeing, or better ways of working. I am looking forward to developing relationships with Academia, Industry, and Research Institutes and sharing IBI's extensive knowledge in this field."
