Interserve has won a £10.6 million contract to build new student accommodation facilities in Warwickshire.
The company will design and build two four-storey buildings for Alumno Developments beside the Grand Union Canal in Leamington Spa.
Each building will comprise of 187 bedrooms, featuring a mix of en-suite, standard and studio rooms, some of which will be wheelchair accessible. Other elements include a contemporary central reception area, shared common rooms and amenity spaces.
In addition, Interserve has been selected to carry out upgrades to the Grand Union Canal environment as well as creating a new green park area along the towpath.
Work on site has now started, with completion scheduled for September 2017. The company hopes to achieve a BREEAM 'Very Good' rating on the development.
