Bam Construction has appointed Tim Chell as its new regional director for its Western region.

Mr Chell will take up his new position on 01 November, following the retirement of Nick Goff.

Having previously joined the company in 2004, he led the construction of four schools for Bristol City Council before being appointed a construction director in 2006.

During his time in charge of Bam's Welsh business, Mr Chell has led 26 projects valued at over £300 million.

He said: "The construction industry faces many challenges. The foremost challenge is creating trust with our clients and supply chain as we ourselves change and develop. We've achieved this so far by creating quality relationships as a result of our progressive and non-contractual manner. This makes us good partners and problem solvers for both the public and private sectors."
