Wates Living Space has been selected to carry out repairs and minor improvements across thousands of homes in London.
The company was awarded two contracts worth £13.2 million from Family Mosaic to upgrade 3,213 properties in Islington and 4,667 properties in Hackney.
Each deal will run for four years and comprises responsive repairs, including plumbing, drainage and emergency out-of-hours services. In addition, the contractor will carry out minor improvement works, including kitchen and bathroom refurbishments, electrical installations and external renovation works.
Wates will also implement a series of community investment programmes to ensure that its community presence brings training and employment opportunities for local residents.
David Morgan, Managing Director of Wates Living Space, said: "Our appointment to these two contracts by Family Mosaic once again evidences our market-leading proficiency in the maintenance of the country's social housing stock and bolsters our ongoing growth in the Greater London region."
Emma O'Shea, Assistant Director of Service Delivery at Family Mosaic, added: "Wates Living Space is a very welcome addition to our network of contractors. Its extensive experience in delivering repairs and maintenance means we can work well together to deliver a high quality service to over 7,000 Family Mosaic customers."
