Conamar has completed a medical centre upgrade project in Hertfordshire.
The contractor carried out the four-phase refurbishment project for Chells Surgery in Stevenage.
The 65-week scheme involved expanding the original building to create a modern facilities, as well as building three new extensions on three sides of the original single-storey surgery.
Features included link work to connect the new buildings, building a new main entrance, reception and waiting room, as well as carrying out external hard/soft landscaping and fitting new lighting.
The survey has also been equipped with high specification mechanical and electrical installation to meet current NHS guidelines.
Neil Dower, Managing Director of Conamar, said: "Ensuring the practice remained operational and able to meet the needs the local community throughout the entirety of the project was the real challenge. Live environments need to be managed extremely carefully and this was the most important part of the project, but phased construction and good communication between the surgery and project team throughout ensured that staff and patients could work and be treated effectively while the project was ongoing."
