BAM Selected For Jaguar Land Rover Car Park Project

BAM has been appointed to build a new multi-million pound car park in Birmingham.

The contractor will deliver the 59,000 sq m facility for Jaguar Land Rover on Kingsbury Road in Castle Bromwich.

The multi-storey structure. which will provide 2,764 spaces for staff and production vehicle parking, will replace the existing surface car park.

Ridge and Partners have been selected as the architect and structural engineer, while Mace is the quantity surveyor. In addition, the project is being managed by Jay Roberts and overseen by Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME) Construction.

Features of the scheme includes piled foundations with pads and Bourne Parking will provide the steel frame with concrete planks, pre-cast stair cores and cladding.

BAM's Contracts Manager Jon Kiteley said: "The Jaguar Land Rover brand is very prestigious so it's a special success for the region. We're currently working at Three Snowhill and Tata Technologies, so we have some impressive commercial partners to complement a leading education portfolio across the West Midlands."

The project will be completed next April.
