Brick manufacturer Michelmersh has revised its financial exceptions for the year due to falling average prices across the market.
In a trading update, the company revealed the UK brick market has been "experiencing falling output" and a "small increase in despatch volumes" due to manufacturers responding to rising demand.
In addition, Michelmersh added increased competition as well as average selling prices not rising to anticipated levels suggests there will be little or no recovery in prices at the start of 2017.
The company said: "The Board has revised its financial expectations for the current year and believes revenue and profit will be at or around a similar level to that report for the full year 2015."
