The National House Building Council (NHBC) has strengthened its senior management by selecting two new Non-Executive Directors.
The organisation has appointed Crest Nicholson's Chief Executive, Stephen Stone, and Notting Hill Housing's Chief Executive, Kate Davies, to the NHBC Board.
Mr Stone has over 30 years' experience in the house building and construction sector. He was appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Crest Nicholson in 2005 and is also a Director at the Home Builders Federation and a Chartered Architect.
Ms Davies became CEO of Notting Hill Housing in 2004. She was previously Chief Executive of Servite Houses and Director of Housing in Brighton and Hove.
Chair of the NHBC, Isabel Hudson, said: "We are delighted to welcome Stephen and Kate to NHBC's Board. In their roles as Non-Executive Directors they will both bring a wealth of experience to NHBC. Their clear understanding of the issues that matter most in house building will be an invaluable asset."
Speaking on his appointment, Mr Stone said: "Having worked in the house building industry since the 1980s I am fully aware of the unique and pivotal role NHBC plays in supporting builders to deliver the country’s new homes and in raising standards for the people who wish to buy them."
Ms Davies added: "I am really pleased to be joining the NHBC Board of Directors at this critical time for the industry. I welcome this opportunity to be involved in the organisation’s future work which will ultimately help to drive up standards for residents and homeowners across the country."
