Workers Use Donseed Biometrics On Apple's London HQ Project

Construction News Image
Construction workers are using Donseed biometrics to help develop Apple's new headquarters (HQ) in London.

Work is underway to transform the former Battersea Power Station for the US technology firm. Around 1,400 staff will move in to the Grade II-listed coal-fired power station in 2021.

Apple will become the largest office tenant at the former electricity generator, which has stood unoccupied for decades on the banks of the River Thames. The company's staff will be spread across six-floors in the central boiler house.

As part of the project, Donseed biometrics are being used to manage time and attendance for employees on site.

Workers are using mobile tablets when they enter and leave the site to ensure accurate hours are recorded and health and safety adhered to.

The overall Battersea Power Station redevelopment comprises more than 8.5 million sq ft being used by both companies and residential developments. Other features will include shops, restaurants, hotels, and event spaces.
