BRE Teams Up With Industry To Support Digital Construction Week

The Building Research Establishment (BRE) has teamed up with Digital Construction Week to promote digital technologies in the construction industry.

The organisation is a Knowledge Partner of the two-day exhibition and conference, which will showcase the latest technologies, innovations, solutions and processes in the sector.

Three of BRE's specialists will be speaking at the event in London, who will address some of the key high-value tools, systems and solutions across the industry:

• Skills gap – the role of innovation and technology: Pauline Traetto, Director of BRE Academy

• Innovation and technology for sustainability: Stuart Blofeld, Lead Trainer of BRE Digital Tools

• Small business, BIG innovation: Paul Oakley, Associate Director of BIM at BRE

BRE Group Chairman, Chris Earnshaw, said the organisation is "aiming for digital transformation in the construction sector".

"Although progress is being made through initiatives such as BIM Level 2, it's imperative that we accelerate our activities. BRE in particular is committed to helping the built environment sector benefit from the use of digital technologies and rich data enabled products and services. Events such as Digital Construction Week play a vital role in this respect, helping us to drive awareness and share knowledge and best practice around the latest technologies and cutting edge innovation."

Other leading partners who are supporting Digital Construction Week include High Speed 2 (HS2) ltd, Kier, BAM, Innovate UK, Bentley and the Cabinet Office.

The event will be held at the Business Design Centre in London on 26 – 27 October.
