SES Scoops Two Contracts Worth £30m In London

Wates' M&E division SES Engineering Services has won two new build contracts worth over £30 million in London.

The contractor has been selected to deliver mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) services on a 12-storey office development as part of the King's Cross regeneration. In addition, SES will provide MEP services on a £110m residential development in the St Bart's Hospital area in Farringdon.

SES will continue its relationship with client Argent and main contractor Carillion on the commercial King's Cross project, and will also be working with Carillion and client Helical Plc to deliver 144 luxury apartments with a selection of one, two and three-bedroom apartments and penthouses located in seven property blocks.

SES said it's off-site manufacturing techniques will play a "vital role" for the Barts Square project as the team will design and install service cupboards for each apartment. In addition, the "build before you build" method will be utilised for the King's Cross S2 scheme, which is set to be completed in December 2017.

Tim Cunningham, SES Regional Director, London and South East, said: "This is a truly exciting time for our London and South East operation and the growth of our business is down to our teams' exemplary work and innovative off-site approach.

"Our SES PRISM facility is at the forefront of M&E installations, meaning we can offer the most effective solutions to even the most technically complex projects, adding real value to our clients so we're delighted to be able to demonstrate this again on both these schemes."
