Balfour Beatty has announced the creation of a new mechanical and electrical (M&E) engineering division.

The firm is combining its Engineering Services and Engineering Construction businesses to create Balfour Beatty Kilpatrick, which will be led by Managing Director (MD) Simon Lafferty.

The division, which has a business revenue of around £300 million, employs around 2,200 people across the UK. Its capabilities will span the nuclear, power, infrastructure, process and defence, transport, healthcare, education, residential and commercial sectors.
