A total of £4.5 million is to be invested to redevelop a sheltered accommodation facility in Suffolk.
Havebury Housing Partnership is proposing to replace Westbourne Court in Haverhill with a new facility.
Features include replacing the current bedsit offering with shared bathroom facilities by creating modern, self-contained flats.
Karen Mayhew, Chief Executive of Havebury Housing Partnership, said the plans have been shared with existing residents as well as local councillors.
"Following the refurbishment of five homes in the scheme last summer, we are committed to improving the standard of accommodation at Westbourne Court," she said.
"We wanted to take a fundamental look at this attractive site to see how best we could create a range of one and two bedroom homes which could be appropriate for older people. We hope that some of the homes could also be offered for sale or on a shared ownership basis."
Ms Mayhew added further updates will be available as the proposals "firm up".
