Plans Approved For £7m Shopping Centre Refurb Scheme

Plans have been approved for a £7 million refurbishment scheme at a shopping centre in Barnet.

The project is being developed by Hunter Real Estate Investment Managers at the Spires Shopping Centre.

Designed by Leslie Jones Architecture, the scheme involves building three new restaurants along with public realm improvements both inside and outside the facility. In addition, a new 24,540 sq ft anchor unit will be built for fashion brand H&M.

Andrew Moffat, Fund Manager at Hunter, said: "Our plans build on recent refurbishment to deliver an offer suitable for the local catchment, which will help increase footfall and create an evening economy for Barnet's high street."
