Interserve has been selected to provide total facilities management (FM) services for the Home office.

The five-year contract will see the construction firm deliver maintenance, cleaning, catering, security support and other services across two 'regions' of the Department's estate.

The deal covers building's and sites in the North of England, Midlands, the West Country, Scotland Wales and Northern Ireland.

The agreement, which also has the option of a two-year extension, was awarded under the new Crown Commercial Services' (CCS) facilities management framework.

Adrian Ringrose, chief executive at Interserve, said: "We have a long-standing relationship with the Home Office and are delighted to be amongst the first major suppliers to be awarded work under the CCS framework."
