Mace has been selected to help deliver a £6.5 million theatre redevelopment project in Manchester.

The company will provide project management services on a two-year scheme to transform the Contact Theatre on Oxford Road.

Designed by architect Sheppard Robson, the project involves re-designing and re-modelling the existing accommodation as well as creating 300m2 of additional space.

In addition to redeveloping the entrance, box office, café and bar, the scheme will deliver additional performance and conference facilities, new office accommodation and significant opportunities for increased community and hires activity.

The programme will begin in June this year and sees Mace delivering procurement advice, contract administration, risk and contingency management, change management and budget management for the project.

Construction work on the building will begin in April 2017.
