Engineering consultancy Morgan Tucker has selected Jean-Paul Skoczylas as its principal water engineer in London.
With almost 10 years of experience in the industry, Mr Skoczylas joins Morgan Tucker after working for three years as managing director (MD) and principal engineer of his own consultancy, Water Consulting East Africa in Rwanda. He has also worked on a number of major projects in roles at Halcrow and CH2M Hill.
In his new role, Mr Skoczylas will focus on flooding and drainage design, working with a mixture of clients including commercial developers as well as local authorities.
Speaking about his appointment, Mr Skoczylas said: "I was looking for an opportunity to utilise my international experience, which also provided a variety of projects and scope to help me grow and develop in the future. Morgan Tucker is the perfect choice for that, as it has a strong basis in drainage and flooding design, with real ambition for future development and growth, so I'm hoping to build on that as well as branch out into other specialists areas including surge, water hammer and irrigation."

We are really pleased to welcome him as Principal Engineer- Water. This is just one of several new hires we intend to make in the Civils team over the coming months as we continue to expand and grow."
