A road maintenance programme is to get underway on the A428 in Cambridgeshire.
Highways England will begin resurfacing sections of the road between Caxton Gibbet roundabout and St Neots roundabout from Monday, 25 July.
The 8.7 mile project is expected to take 17 weeks and will take place between 8pm – 6am. The scheme also includes replacing joints at St Neots Viaduct. Road closures and diversions will be in place.
Highways England project manager Christopher Eglinton said: "This vital resurfacing work will provide road users with a better driving experience. The white lines will also be more visible, improving driver safety.
"We have also worked with the team working on the A14 Cambridge to Huntingdon improvement scheme to ensure this section of the A428 is a good condition before main construction work on the major scheme starts later this year."
