Wates has started building the second phase of a multi-million pound housing scheme in West Yorkshire.

The company's Living Space Homes division is delivering 21 new homes for Together Housing Group in Westfield Lane, South Elmsall.

The £2.1m development forms phase two of 'Gordon Place' and adds to 45 new homes already built on the site.

The project has also involved Wates developing Frickley Mews, a 67-apartment extra care scheme designed for over-50s.

Caroline Grosvenor, Group Head of Sustainable Neighbourhoods at Together Housing, said: "Our partnership with Wates has been built on shared values around the positive and lasting social impact the development of new homes has on local communities, people and the environment.

"Managed by Together Housing, Gordon Place is part of a wider development in South Elmsall, which includes Frickley Mews Extra Care scheme for people with an assessed need for care and support, enabling people to remain independent in their own homes for as long as possible.
