New figures have revealed UK house price growth has slowed to 8.4% in June.
Prices in the last three months were 1.2% higher than the same period last year, according to Halifax's house price index.
However, this was slightly below May's 1.5% increase and is the lowest rise since December 2014 (1%). Overall, the annual rate is down from 9.2% in May.
Martin Ellis, Halifax housing economist, said the figures are evidence that the underlying pace of house growth "may be easing".
However, he added the figures precede the EU referendum result and are "far too early to determine any impact since".
