Plans have been approved for a major regeneration scheme in London.

Designed by Pollard Thomas Edwards Architects, house builder Hill will create 300 new homes at Lea Bridge in the east of the city.

The scheme will be the first large-scale residential development in the area since the station reopened in May.

It will feature three residential towers around a landscaped courtyard, including shops, office space, a gym and new cycle routes to be created through Transport for London's 'Mini Holland' scheme.

A spokesperson for Hill said: "We are due to start on site in the autumn of this year, with sales set to launch in 2018."
