Network Rail has awarded a Principal Contractor Licence (PCL) to Lanes Group subsidiary UKDN Waterflow.
For over 15 years, the drainage company has worked on Network Rail's maintenance units as a tier one operator and will now be eligible to manage larger investment projects.
In addition, Lanes Group's rail division has moved from Langley Business Park into new, purpose-built premises on Slough Trading Estate in Berkshire.
Eamonn Maloney, Lanes Group Network Rail Manager, said: "We are now able to deliver total solutions, from surveying, scoping, planning and pricing, to implementation and hand over, whatever size the project.
"Holding a PCL demonstrates that Network Rail trusts our ability to deliver, in terms of our capabilities, quality assurance, and health and safety performance."
