Interserve has selected Jim Marner as its regional director for the company's North East and Newcastle engineering services.

As President of the Building Engineering Services Association (BESA), Mr Marner has over 30 years of experience in the industry having previously worked at SES Wates.

He served in a number of roles at the company, including divisional operations director, national pre-construction director, business development director, and most recently, business director.

He set up a new regional operations in the North West, as well as taking on the role of non-executive director of the company's off-site manufacturing facility.

Speaking on his appointment, Mr Marner said: "I am relishing this new opportunity, which gives me the chance to use my wide industry experience in a new setting, and I look forward to contributing to the business."
