A £3 million power line renewal project is underway in Cheshire.
SP Energy Networks has began modernising over 17km of overhead power lines which run from Hartford to Crewe.
The company will work alongside Iberdrola Engineering & Construction (IEC) to secure the networks supply and the project is due to be completed this autumn.
Mark Sobczak, Head of 132kV Programmes for SP Energy Networks, said: "We have been increasing the level of investment across our network over the last three years and this project in Cheshire demonstrates our commitment to our customers and local communities.
"This work will ensure that the electricity network supporting Northwich, Middlewich and Crewe will continue to operate at a high standard for decades to come."
