O'Brien Contractors Wins University Of Birmingham Contracts

O'Brien Contractors has been awarded two contracts worth £1.5 million from the University of Birmingham.

The civil engineering specialist will build a new 800 metre footpath/cycle way from the University's Edgbaston campus to its main student residence village, the Vale.

Associated works and soft landscaping will also be carried out.

The second project involves O'Brien installing hard/soft landscaping around the University's new library development.

The schemes are part of a five-year £500m investment programme by the University to enhance its Edgbaston campus.

Stuart Chamberlain, Director at O'Brien, said: "University of Birmingham is Internationally acclaimed with a reputation spanning over 100 years. We are absolutely delighted to be chosen to work on their campus redevelopment – one of the most high profile schemes taking place in Birmingham."
